FAMILY HISTORY—LEARNING TOGETHER - MONTHLY, SECOND FRIDAY 2:00—4:00pm

Using our laptops or tablets we begin, or continue, our research at meetings. As a mixed ability group we also try to assist each other in breaking down those stubborn ‘brick walls’ in our family trees.

Most of our members have been undertaking research for a number of years. The usual format of meetings is for a member to share an aspect of their research or a family story they have uncovered. Other members will add their own experiences and any suggestions for further research.

A small group of intermediate level researchers who have been researching for a number of years. We discuss a monthly pre-arranged topic and contribute examples from our own research. This is followed by a general discussion, sharing of experiences/problems and helping with "brick walls". Occasionally we use Google Meet/Zoom where appropriate to assist our research in both DNA and other topics.

We are a mixed ability group in tracing family trees and welcome all new members. At each session a member of our group will present a topic on a specific subject. We have lively discussions and help each other move forward with our research.
