VENUE – The Upper Room, The Methodist Church, Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath.
Our group is now starting its sixth year in which we continue to explore all aspects
of jazz and blues music performed in the 20th and 21st centuries. We have presentations
about particular periods (e.g. 1960s), individual musicians (e.g. Miles Davis, Duke
Ellington) or styles (e.g. Big Bands, Dixieland, Bebop). In addition to listening
to CDs, the group views DVDs of live performances and videos from YouTube. We attract
guest speakers and musicians to address the group and arrange trips to concerts and
