We try to develop conversational and linguistic skills and learn something of the French way of life. We touch on some of the intricacies of French grammar as we read about day to day situations. Listening to CDs, reading and translating from French helps us to improve our vocabulary and increase our confidence in the use of language.

This group is not for complete beginners. We talk in French as much as we can. The emphasis is on enjoyment and 'having a go' (with help) to make conversation and improve understanding. We also use the BBC Talk French book 2, supported by useful revision sheets and extracts from various sources about French life.
