FAMILY HISTORY 1

FOURTH THURSDAY 10.00am  - 12.00 noon.  Monthly.

VENUE – Various private houses.

We are grateful to members willing to disrupt their homes to accommodate our meetings, when we share our individual research and receive generous gifts of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. Our trip to the National Archives at Kew resulted as usual in more questions than answers – but that’s Family History!

FAMILY HISTORY 2

SECOND THURSDAY 10.00am - 12.00 noon.  Monthly.

VENUE – Various private houses.

Members carry out their own research and meet to share experiences and information, giving support and encouragement to each other along the way.  As family history involves the study of a variety of subjects and sources, from time to time members research a topic which they can share with the rest of the group.

FAMILY HISTORY 3

.

FIRST TUESDAY 2.00pm – 4.00pm.  Monthly except August.

VENUE – Private house, Haywards Heath.

This is an informal group where part of the meeting consists of a general discussion/help session where members’ recent research, problems and specific queries are addressed. Some members of the group have considerable  experience of working on their own family trees and would willingly support  members who are new to family history.

The group also agrees a focus or theme for part of each meeting in advance e.g. online resources, textile trades, military service.
