ART APPRECIATION 1   

 

FIRST TUESDAY - 2.30pm - 4.30pm. Monthly.

VENUE – The Methodist Church, Perrymount Road.

 

The group is given illustrated talks on the lives and works of various artists and schools of art. There are a few vacancies at present and new members would be made welcome. This group is limited to 100 people.

 

ART APPRECIATION 2    

 

FIRST TUESDAY - 2.30pm - 4.30pm. Every 4 weeks.

VENUE  - Private house.

 

This is a small house group studying various artists of different periods. All members take it in turns to talk about an artist and show slides of his work.

 

                                                                   

ART APPRECIATION 3   

 

FIRST TUESDAY – 10.00am - 12.00noon. Monthly.

VENUE – Private house.

 

This group studies the work of printers, bookbinders, ceramicists, furniture makers and glass makers, jewellers, painters, sculptors and architects in the Arts and Crafts Movement. This provides an invaluable guide to the decorative arts, past and present, and gives a fascinating background to the rich traditions and theories that form the cornerstone of design today.
